Lisa Jane Stansfield (Manchester, 11 de abril de 1967), Lisa Stansfield, cantante inglesa de pop independiente, centrada en un público adulto y sofisticado, con aproximaciones constantes a la música dance y de club.
Antes de iniciar su carrera en solitario, fue la vocalista del grupo The Blue Zone y colaboró en el disco de Coldcut «People Hold On» en 1989. Entró de lleno en la popularidad con Affection en 1990, disco de platino que incluía su éxito «All Around the World». Tanto este disco como el siguiente, Real Love, están fuertemente influenciados por el sonido disco de los años 70 de Barry White (arreglos, ritmo e, incluso, la técnica de Stasnfield). Tras un retiro prolongado, regresó en 1997.

my goodness! i have overlooked lisa stansfield and her incredible music. sure i loved all around the world back in 1990 and even it's follow-up, you can't deny it. but at 17, i guess i was just too young to appreciate the gem she released as her debut album affection. same thing with her follow-up, real love in 1991/1992. all woman was the only track that caught my attention. well fast forward 18-19 years and all around the world plays randomly in an itunes playlist and i go back to the affection cd and fall down a hole with lisa stansfield entire discography. this woman can sing & perform in so many genres: dance/r&b/pop/adult/electronic/ambient...the list goes on. lisa stansfield is that chick! she really is a more uptempo sade. better late than never...you'd get as lost as i am in her silky voice. strongly recommended!
