it took me a while but i really came around on this band and this album in particular. think i need more wilfully unsettling music like this in my life.

People care about Rolling Stones' opinion? I was under the impression that magazine was completely irrelevant.

Was expecting this to be so much harsher given all the backlash... decent, glad they kept evolving their sound though.

I love this album... I don't know why the critics didn't get it... I think Rolling Stone gave it half a star.

Geez, forget something! This album, for me, lies very close in my heart to Worried Well by the band 31Knots, I would suggest you check that out, but ONLY if you like this!

I'm with most of you, this is the best. For me, it's followed close by Liars, but that one just lacks the utterly pathetic self-defeating feel that made me fall in love with They Were Wrong in the first place. Something that you are probably not going to agree with, I think that Flow My Tears is the best track.

A rope was attached to her waist and the 'witch' was thrown into a river or deep pond. If the 'witch' floated it was deemed that she was in league with the devil, rejecting the 'baptismal water'. If the 'witch' drowned she was deemed innocent. *see under Ducking Stool (a torture device used in Medieval period especially for women accused of whichcraft) They Were Wrong, So We Drowned
