Leaves’ Eyes es una banda de Gothic Metal con algunos elementos de Folk y Simphonic Metal originada en Noruega y Alemania en el 2003, poco después de que la vocalista de Theatre of Tragedy Liv Kristine fuese expulsada de la banda. Leaves’ Eyes fue formada entonces por su marido Alexander Krull y miembros de su grupo Atrocity. En la mayoría de canciones Liv Kristine canta sola pero ocasionalmente añaden la voz gutural de Alexander Krull para darle más ambientación gótica.
Su primer álbum, Lovelorn, fue publicado en el 2004. Su segundo álbum, Vinland Saga, fue sacado a la venta el 30 de mayo del 2005 y cuenta la historia del descubrimiento de Vinlandia, una parte de Norteamérica (costa de New Jersey), por Leif Eriksson.
Su sonido sinfónico y majestuoso, está creado alrededor de la magnífica voz de su cantante, y sus temas épicos centrados principalmente en el amor, la naturaleza y la historia.

Also, this is way better than Leaves' Eyes previously touring the Americas with Samael, Clan of Xymox (the band who were jerks to Leaves' Eyes in Mexico), King Diamond, Virgin Black (despite the fact that I kinda like Virgin Black).... Why can symphonic bands only stick together in Europe? :-/

The Leaves' Eyes top 15 has always always always sucked, period. :-P I think part of the problem is that the Last.fm radio system appears to prioritize tracks that have been in the system longer, meaning in this case Lovelorn. Also I guess more people have Lovelorn.... *sigh* :-P
