Le Tigre es un grupo feminista electro-post-punk, formado por tres chicas: Kathleen Hanna (ex-Bikini Kill, uno de los grupos insignia de las Riot Grrrl), Johanna Fateman (escritora y editora de fanzines) y JD Samson (encargada de la parte visual y los bailes de Le Tigre). Más allá de su cuestionable activismo (han participado en festivales que excluyen de su asistencia a hombres o transexuales) Le Tigre sorprende por la mezcla de actitudes que se puede encontrar en sus canciones y sus conciertos: tecno… , punk y pop mezclados con letras decididamente ingenuas o provocativas, vestuarios retro-futuristas y coreografías aparentemente sencillas pero endiabladamente complejas y divertidas.
Han editado tres discos, «Le Tigre» (1999) de donde sale «Deceptacon», el tema que se utiliza en el anuncio de Nivea, «Feminist Sweepstakes» (2001) y «This Island» (2004).
