First time ever in my life that a piece of music - or any sound - has actually given me a headache.

@ megajosh: Your musical compatibility with megajosh2 is Very High Music you have in common includes 13th Floor Elevators, John Coltrane, Howlin' Wolf, Arnold Schönberg and Miles Davis. So that means if I have a very narrow minded view of music then so do you.

@jazzthieve You have a very narrow view of music and you probably know nothing about this composition if even the composer...

Lol at all those hipster comments below. You all need to realize this not music it's just a sound, you don't need to get all "arty" and "spiritual" about it cause there's nothing special about it. This is just rediculous, anyone can make music if it sounds like this.

The note seems to make my ears shake with lower pitches. I cannot explain it at all.

La Monte Young changed the way I listened to music more than anyone else. He made me appreciate how important the role of timbre is; The Well-Tuned Piano more so that this, but this is still sonically mind-boggling.

yeah, we had to listen to this kind of stuff in ear training class... your ears start to open up to the different levels of harmonics.

try listening to this track on headphones, then move the phones close to and away from your head. It's like a tuning fork. If the phones are off my head, the tone is a vibrating hum, if they're fully on my head, it's the high pitched whine

It's strange how the tone kind of changes when you lower or raise the volume.

Such complexity. Such richness and depth. The variety is astounding.

At first i was annoyed. Sitting here in silence, the sound was annoying. But as my dad spoke in the background, all i could focus on was this sound. It was as if this sound was my center piece, and everything else, was exactly that, everything else. The fusion with the mundane creates the sacred.
