I think I do too now. This band were pretty hit or miss for a long long time. Shadows was a HUGE miss. It only had TWO good songs. On this record, the entire thing is good to great. What happened? For one thing, they keep it fast. No mid-tempo jumpdafuckup crap. . .anywhere. . . none. They've phased it out, and that, my friends, has set them so far ahead of their peers it's not even funny. (Deathgaze should just break up, they're never gonna do anything this good) I've heard Dir comparisons. . . .eh, very little, and certainly not on the metal parts. The softer parts make me think of Luna Sea (with kyo singing). Oh, but the harsh stuff is where they truly shine. "TIAMAT" has replaced "doze" as best lynch. song. It's as if someone slipped the old old old As I Lay Dying album(from when they were a Zao clone) in the fan gifts. What's gotten into you? Good shit.
