Keith Jarrett (Allentown, Pennsylvania, EUA, 8 de mayo de 1945), pianista estadounidense de jazz. Se trata de uno de los maestros del jazz de vanguardia, cuya producción más sobresaliente es una serie de piezas improvisadas grabadas en directo en Colonia, París, Milán, Viena, Tokio y otras ciudades. Probablemente éstos sean sus trabajos más famosos. Inició su carrera junto a Miles Davis, y posteriormente trabajó con Chick Corea, Jan Garbarek, Gary Peacock y Jack DeJohnette entre otros.
También interpreta piezas para piano clásico, clavicordio, clavecín y órgano. Ha grabado varios discos de música clásica, interpretando obras de Bach, Händel, Mozart y Shostakovich, entre otros. Muy versátil, Jarrett los ha interpretado solo o en diversas alineaciones que incluyen, entre otros, a la virtuosa de la flauta barroca Michala Petri y a autores minimalistas contemporáneos como Arvo Pärt.
Jarrett tiene la reputación de ser un perfeccionista excéntrico y, mientras toca, suele vocalizar de forma expresiva. Su agente musical es Steven Cloud.

" lol, yeh thats one of the most irritating things i've ever heard. he doesn't do it all the time though, manages to shut up through most of the koln concert which is good, but he's ruined a few albums with his stupid moaning (gary peacock's tales of another springs to mind), he's also a massive fucking douchebag, which makes me want to hate him....but annoyingly i love a lot of his stuff, i probably have more records with jarrett on than any other musician in my vinyl collection. just dont listen to anything he says and filter out the ones with the whining shit on and you'll be alright.
