Kevin Moore, conocido como Keb’ Mo nació en 1951 en Los Angeles, California. A los 21 años se unió a una banda de blues y soul antes de actuar como guitarrista de Papa John Creach. No fue hasta 1980 cuando pudo finalmente grabar en solitario el álbum «Rainmaker», que sin embargo no tuvo mucho éxito. Mo continuó su trabajo como músico de sesión y esperó catorce años para publicar su segundo trabajo, que tuvo mejor acogida, especialmente en Alemania donde gustó su mezcla de bues y soul al estilo Taj Majal. En 2001 se volvió hacia el pop con «Big Wide Guy».
