it's a great record with a wonderful bass sound, which reminds me on old goth rock

Pretty good, but definitely one of their weaker records for me.

Abyss Hinge 2: The Shrinking Armature is by far the best song on the album

Whisper Ineffable is definitely the best song on the album. I'd say it is one of Kayo Dot's best songs. Cartogram Out of Phase is such a poignant way to end the album.

I spoke way too soon. This is twisted, mad beauty and probably my second favorite Kayo Dot album now.

I've been listening to this a LOT lately and it's finally clicking in a huge way. The "Abyss Hinge" tracks are without a doubt the best on the album, with "Calonyction Girl" taking a close third.

At least to me, Coyote is some of the best shit Kayo Dot have ever put out, I'm amazed and suprised. [2] This album was so different from anything else they've done, but yet it felt so fucking awesome. The songs are addicting and chaotic. Of course many people are going to piss on it for not being COTE2.

After listening to it 920350235x I think Choirs > Dowsing/Coyote> Blue Lambency Downward.

Personally the best Kayo Dot I've heard, and this easily takes album of the year slot, probably for a good while.

Definitely not as good as Choirs or Dowsing, but still definitely good, in my opinion. Different vibe altogether, as to be expected from KD. That doom-jazz-lounge swing in Abyss 2 is really interesting, and I love Toby's vocals on Whisper Inneffable -- that mad, insane growl of his has always been a favourite of mine.
