She's my all-time favorite jazz vocalist, and I agree about her being so underrated as a truly talented singer and interpreter...I think maybe the fact that she was also a pin-up girl and sex symbol of the time has something to do with this. She was astonishingly beautiful of course, but good lord this woman could PUR! Her version of "Summertime" is to die for!
