Nacido el 31 de mayo de 1968, este Noruego ha sido el vocalista y frontman de varias bandas que en su país -y, a la postre, en todo el globo- cuentan con reconocido prestigio. Ha sido cantante de Vagabond (con el miembro de TNT Ronni Lé Tekrø), de Yngwie Malmsteen, de ARK, de Beyond Twilight, de Mundanus Imperium, de Nostradamus (de Nikolo Kotzev), de Millenium y de The Snakes, al igual que ha publicado varios discos en solitario.
En 2003 se une a Masterplan, banda plagada de estrellas con la que publica dos discos antes de abandonarla. Eso ocurre el 11 de mayo de 2006, ante lo cual el vocalista alega diferencias musicales en cuanto a tareas de composición.
En 2007 Tobias Sammet lo convoca para integrar el tercer disco de Avantasia, The Scarecrow.
Actualmente Jorn Lande es reconocido como uno de los mejores cantantes melódicos de la escena rockera europea.

Jorn really sounds distinct in the Masterplan albums, due to belting out godlike and powerful vocals, especially in songs like "Crystal Night" and "Crawling From Hell". That, and that he recorded several octaves of the same lines in many places. It makes me think that there are more than one Jorn here. :p

Как бы прискорбно это ни звучало, но по сравнению со старыми альбомами , последний альбом выглядит блекло и невзрачно. Некоторые песни откровенно проходные номера, а песен претендующие на сто процентный хит вообще нет! Очень жаль, я безумно люблю творчество Jorn Lande, и мне очень обидно что последний альбом вышел таким какой он есть на данный момент.
