John Lennon con su habitual maestría, aborda el tema de los celos desde una perspectiva eminentemente de sensaciones interiores típicas de un enamorado. Como es clásico en la música de John, la melodía y el ritmo tienen un sorprendente maridaje con el tema de la canción, en este caso un tema de dolor y angustia en la que el cantaautor va describiendo paso a paso el proceso de sensaciones que asaltan el espíritu cuando el amor se ve o se siente amenazado por alguien o algo más. Es sin duda una etapa de madurez de John Lennon cuando publica este album en 1971, recién se ha separado la banda más trascendente de todos los tiempos, «The Beatles» y John no nos sorprende, porque la genialidad ya le es de suyo, pero si nos deleita con este album que contiene Imagina (que da título al álbum), Crippled Inside, Give me some truth, entre otras, En todas ellas existe un corte de fuerte crítica individual pero también de una notable carga de espiritualidad e idealismo por la naturaleza del ser auténtico y libre que a fin de cuentas siempre buscó llegar a ser.
