Ritchie Blackmore.

18 May 2010, 14:06 de nikki_chikeroIt mixed withJoe Lynn Turner and Dio, and there was a photograph of Asian girls that seemed not to be at all related with them when yesterday's "rainbow" tag was pushed.
It is written by Hangul when the name of the artist is seen as "레인보우" and is the sideways
They are a group of seven Korean girls........
It is a same old story probably that there is a group of the same name.
But I thought Is it timely or a karma because I discovered it while I wrote yesterday's blog .
Does Ritchie Blackmore knows this thing?

To be honest, I had severe doubts about this show. My thoughts were along 'old farts', 'rip-off' and other derogatory thoughts.
Then, however few days before the show I was reading Roy Davies' excellent Rainbow biography ("Rainbow Rising. The Story of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" published by Helter Skelter, 2002) and suffered an acute paradigm shift.
I came to realize that all these people (with the exception of Jürgen, of course) were once handpicked by The Man Himself and who am I to argue his choices. These musicians have showed talent and ability and were thus selected to join one of the worlds premiere hard rock bands. Later on they may have been sacked by Him but that was the reality when working with a genius striving to find a direction and commercial success.
Overall, I was very happy I went to see 'Over The Rainbow' as I've grown up with these songs and I was privileged to hear them performed live even if not by the respective line-ups.

13 Ago 2008, 19:10 de Dilraen...and now it's over. And no new gigs to wait for. Damn :/
060608 Blackmore's Night
- My favorite. Great gig, they played almost more DP/Rainbow songs than their own and invited people from their sitting places to dance to the front. I even shaked hands with Candice, jej.
080608 Sauna Open Air
- The first artists were Graham Bonnet & Joe Lynn Turner, and those two guys showed that they aren't too old for their work. Especially Bonnet was great (and sympathetic in his white suit :)) Amorphis was next, Tomi's hair was amazing and his voice too! To my own surprise, old Rainbow guys were better than Amo.
Whitesnake was a small disappointment :/
180708 Wanaja Festival
- Thanks to Sarento, I managed to get to the first line. Viikate sounded very good and next week I was listening to their music all the time (support your local bands :D). Unfortunately I had to survive from Uniklubi's gig to keep my good place until Amo started playing. It was a painful hour :D
Amo was great, again.
29 Jun 2008, 9:54 de myriaddaydreamsJP's latest album 'Nostradamus' reminds me of another album, about 'Nostradamus'.
I've not gotten JP's yet so I'll write a review later. Now I write a review of another 'Nostradamus'.
This is a Rock Opera which was produced by Bulgarian Guitar player names Nikolo Kotzev.
I know him as a mastermind of Brazen Abbot. I like it and beside I like Metal/Rock operas so this album must be pleased to me.
In fact, just as so.
In the name of 'Opera', there are more than one singer on this album.
The same as brazen Abbot, Joe Lynn Turner as Nostradamus, .Glenn Hughes as Henry II the King of France, Jorn Lande as Inquisitor.
These singers are my favourites, all of them are awesome.
I especially reccomend Göran Edman. His role is Ghost of a soldier of French Revoluton era. This role is very important, so you can hear his vocal anywhere. His poweful vocal even though as a ghost, will make you impress.
On the whole, this album may be sorted by Hard Rock. Symphonic enough, like The Metal Opera, but it rocks enough.

The Line-up was basically made up from shitty finnish bands with a few exeptions. (Hardcore Superstar, The 69 Eyes, Stam1na, Malice in Wonderland, Joe Lynn Turner and Graham Bonnet) I went to the festival to see Hardcore Superstar, for the second time and they pulled of a great show once again, and Joe Lynn Turner and Graham Bonnets collaboration! And as a Hard-rock-fan I wasnt disapointed! Joe Lynn Turner and Graham Bonnets Back to the Rainbow tours final show at MTR, turned out to be one of the best gigs I've ever been to :o They we're still on fire just like in the 1970's and 1980's, the show would have been a perfect Rainbow orgy if Ronnie James Dio had joined them on the tour, but I was still pleased
