Nicko always amazes me. The last time I attempted this song, my foot was about to fall off. The speed is enough, but I doubt I'll ever have the durability to sustain that rhythm for long.

Nicko never used a double bass, and he could easily perform Face in the Sand live - just listen to Dream Of Mirrors, the part starting at 5:47 - and guess what, he performed it live perfectly at Rock in Rio. Same goes for the live performances of the songs Iron Maiden and Ghost Of The Navigator. Face in the Sand may be the only one where he plays the double bass constantly, but it doesn't sound that hard to play compared to the songs I mentioned above.

It's just really fast I think. Or perhaps a heel-toe technique? I love the intro of this song :) Really soothing, a nice continuation on Dance of Death.
