This is without a doubt my favorite Maiden album and always will be. It was the first one I bought with my own money.. mainly because it was the only one they had at the particular store I purchased it from. But I always adored that cover as well. It represents the tone and feel of the material so well. The only blemish if you wanna call it that to me is The Fallen Angel. I think it would be absolutely flawless album without it. Still my favorite and most listened to Maiden record though.

No fillers? Out of the silent planet is just as repetitive and boring as The Apparition

No, lots of filler on this album. Sorry but Fallen Angel and The Mercenary are far worse than most of the so-called "fillers" from the 80s albums. Dream of Mirrors and The Nomad are also far too repetative for me. While this album is good, especially the first 4 tracks, which are awesome, it still sounds too much like "Blaze era" material in places to be truly great release.

If this was released in the 80's it would be considered Maiden's masterpiece. Almost no filler tracks unlike many of the "classic" albums. [3] Probably their best album. [5]

It's albums like this that actually make me want to pay for music. Was that tasteless? Sorry if it was, I just wanted to point out that this album and me go way back, its such a epic rocker - no cheese. The last 4 minutes of 'The thin line between love and hate' almost, always blow me away.
