In This Moment es una banda norteamericana del sur de California formada en 2005 por Maria Brink en las voces, Chris Howorth en la guitarra líder, Blake Bunzel en la guitarra rítmica, Jesse Landry en el bajo y Jeff Fabb en los tambores, esta gente fue firmada por Century Media gracias a su popularidad en myspace, los ejecutivos del sello al ver la cantidad de hits y amigos que tenían estos, los escucharon y les ofrecieron negocio, el producto de aquel negocio es este disco de 2007 llamado Beautiful Tragedy. Son un grupo de músicos que para estar sacando un primer álbum poseen un sonido muy interesante, con las mezclas clásicas del thrash con el metal moderno que siempre vemos en estilos como el metalcore y nu metal pero también con un toque de ellos, lo que los convierte en una promesa de la música duro, una banda con futuro. Los riffs de las canciones son cañeros, esa presencia de unas guitarras que parecen hojillas le dan una energía muy agradable a la música de este talento emergente y la base rítmica termina de hacer el trabajo dándole profundidad a una música que bien mezcla la esencia del metal poderoso con el modernismo del rock actual.
