Hella es una banda de cinco integrantes de Nevada City, California. Desempeñan técnicamente un sonido con influencias de math rock, noise rock y avant-garde. Los principales miembros de la banda son Spencer Seim en guitarra eléctrica y Zach Hill en la batería (aunque ambos son multi-instrumentistas). En 2005, ampliaron los integrantes en vivo, añadiendo la voz de Dan Elkan (guitarra, sintetizador) y Jonathan Hischke (bajo). En 2006 Dan Elkan y Jonathan Hischke abandonado el grupo. El nuevo line-up incluye la adición de Josh Hill, Carson McWhirter (de The Advantage) y Aaron Ross.
