Si hablamos en términos absolutos la propuesta de HORSE The Band alcanza un grado de frikismo inusitado. Su rasgo distintivo, ese teclado de 8 bits, es suficiente para crear un estilo nuevo e independiente del que son los mejores predicadores: el nintendocore, lo que es como escuchar a una banda de hardcore experimental con Mario o Yoshi a los teclados y una NES rebotando contra las paredes. Esto en términos absolutos, pero si nos posicionamos en el centro de una escena en la que nos encontramos formaciones tan marcianas como Fear Before the March of Flames o The Number Twelve Looks Like You su propuesta no resulta tan excesiva.
