Grouper es el nombre artistico de la artista y compositora Elizabeth (Liz) Harris de Portland, Oregon. El nombre deriva de su antigua pertenencia a la Comuna anarco-mística «The Group», basada en las enseñanzas de Gurdjeff.
Su album debut titulado «Way Their Crept» fue lanzado a traves de «Free Porcupine Society Label» en el 2005, seguido luego por el grandioso «Wide» con la misma disquera. En 2008 grabó «Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill».
