Aunque pueda parecer que God Forbid es un grupo relativamente nuevo, esto no es así. Se formaron en 1997 y cuentan ya en su haber con 5 discos. En su primera etapa en el sello 9volt Discs lanzaron su EP de debut “Out of Misery” y el álbum “Reject The Sickness”. Posteriormente ficharon por Century Media, a través del cual editaron el exitoso “Determination” y más recientemente el disco “Gone Forever” y «IV- Constitution of Treason.
God Forbid suenan como una mezcla del thrash de los primeros Sepultura y Pantera, junto con un toque del hardcore practicado por Hatebreed y del death metal de In Flames o At The Gates.
