he is one of the guitar heroes and a virtuoso but a bit underrated.. it's too bad there aren't many people listening to solo albums of great guitarists which play in a famous band.. like glenn tipton, george lynch or john norum.. maybe ace frehley..

Painkiller and Beyond the Realms of Death are the obvious ones (best solos ever in my opinion)......but Freewheel Burning is one of my favorites at the moment

What would you guys consider his best (or your favourite) solos? mine would be, Beyond the Realms of Death, Painkiller, Touch of Evil and Turbo Lover..But of course there are so many more just as awesome. Very diverse in style and always well structured and executed!

yea..I guess EOTW consisted of the tracks which were not released originally on BOF...and it was basically meant to pay tribute to both Powell and Entwistle after their death :-)

Do Entwistle, Powell and Airey play on Baptizm of Fire? I though they just played on Edge of the World

hmmmmm.....that's sad :(...but Glenn Tipton's solo project is something af a formidable supergroup I mussay...John Entwistle of the Who,Cozy Powell(sabbath, rainbow,Jeff beck group),Don Airey(Deep purple,Jethro Tull...)..no wonder both the albums are kickass! \m/

Glen Tipton is the most underrated axe on earth...Slayer's Kerry King agrees to that too :D...the second album..Edge Of The World is great too!\m/

Obviously.......Rolling Stones pale in comparison to Glenn Tipton.....btw I don't like the Rolling Stones :P My favourite track would probably be Baptizm of Fire :D

Paint it black sounds much better than the original by Rolling Stones
