Gregg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, es capaz de elevar los bootlegs a la categoría de arte gracias a su magistral pericia a la hora de casar canciones con el loable propósito de crear algo totalmente nuevo. Abanderado del sello Illegal Art, Gillis ha publicado tres álbumes de ritmo infeccioso - Secret Diary (02), Unstoppable (04) y Night Ripper (06)-, y está a punto de entregar su cuarto largo, de título provisional, Wild Peace IV: Feed the Animals, Raise The Dead.
Brillante en disco, arrollador en directo, Gillis es famoso por su sorprendente tendencia a quitarse la ropa en mitad del escenario y, sobre todo, por su facilidad para las remezclas imposibles: The Human League con AC/DC o Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, T.A.t.U y The Creation ¡en una sola canción!, pueden ser un buen ejemplo. Tan hedonista como iconoclasta, Girl Talk es, sin duda, todo un maestro pop de los samples.
