Interesting exchanges below by VulcanTrooper and TwanglingJill........ perhaps they could arrange to meet in Venice.......... :)

TwanglingJill: Venice has more churches than it knows what to do with. Some were designed by Palladio, himself. As an aside, when I visited St.Mark's they were piping J.S.Bach over the PA system. I have nothing against Bach but I was horrified: more music has been composed for that one single building than almost any other building in all of Christendom (St.Peter's exceeds) ... Lotti, Gabrielli, Scarlatti, Montiverdi and even more by people who'd trained there (Schutz, Ockegem) but they chose Bach instead?

Vulcan, I think you're right, but the only place I know in Venice would be St.Mark's Cathedral.

The three-part "echo-effect" is superb. This must have been written with a specific building/acoustic in mind.

How cool is it that he was writing music usually accomplished now using pedals and electronic processors more than 400 years ago?
