5 Nov 2009, 16:06 de MackTheKnifeAU2Please note straight up, if anyone reads this, it's no so much bitching about the album, as much as it is what I'd pick as my favourite/best songs.
Just read a track listing, and heard their new song, for the Foo Fighters greatest hits album. Here is a listing:
1. "All My Life"
2. "Best of You"
4. "The Pretender"
5. "My Hero"
6. "Learn to Fly"
7. "Times Like These"
8. "Monkey Wrench"
9. "Big Me"
11. "Long Road to Ruin"
12. "This Is a Call"
13. "Skin and Bones"
15. "Word Forward"
16. "Everlong" (Acoustic version)
I've heard the new song Wheels, and it just doesn't grab me. It just seems like the typical "chuck on a couple of new songs so people will buy it or at least not complain about not getting anything new" that's come into vogue in the last 5? 10? years.

It was through Goldfrapp that I got interested. They originally remixed his song "This Is the New Shit" and after hearing that, I was very interested in hearing the original. So I did, and then I listened to more and more and I liked it.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (Bjork)
"Army Of Me"
3. What's your favorite lyric by 33? (Blondie)
I don't have any of the lyrics memorized, so I can't really say.
4. How did you get into 49? (The Pretenders)
I was on a road trip with my family and the song "Middle of the Road" played and I really got into them after that.
5. How many albums by 13 do you own? (Beck)
6. What is your favorite song by 50? (The Beatles)
"All You Need Is Love"
7. Is there a song by 39 that makes you sad? (Kelly Clarkson)
I don't think so. Most of her songs are pretty optimistic.
8. What is your favorite song by 15? (Patti Smith)

Whatever, this post is for me.

1 May 2008, 20:16 de bowdowntomonoOk, this is MY opinion of the top artists over the whole of last.fm by listener number for 01/05/08. I'm not saying this is true. I'm only doing it as something to avoid doing work...
1. Radiohead - 99,720
Well, I don't think they are good enough to be the most listened band in the world (ok, last.fm). Sure, they've started off a lot of the music I like, and they're inventive, but there is such a thing as being too experimental. The new album is both experimental and boring for the most part. However, both The Bends and OK Computer are very good albums, and Just is a masterpiece. Overall, their older stuff is far superior, because it's more normal.
2. The Beatles - 91,688
Shoot me if you want, but I think The Beatles are distinctly average. It sounds so generic and not very exciting at all to me. I know that at the time, it wasn't either of those things, because rock music hadn't really got going, but that doesn't stop me from disliking it. …
