The world of the music is like an ocean. Whatever one’s musical taste and listening scope may include, there’s always more to discover. These are few of the songs, that I really enjoy listening to, and consider being masterpieces. It may be because of the lyrics, arrangement, vocals, or maybe sum of it all – “good music” is hard to define, and it’s deeply subjective, ofc. Happy discovering!
Her one of the more “accessible” masterpieces, “Jóga” is lyrically as simple, as musically rich - from arrangement of chords, to Björk’s unique voice. It’s a product of influences, crafted in a masterfully artistic way, and the end result is amazing.
Florence + the Machine Cosmic Love
Florence Welch paints a stunning soundscape with her voice, backed up by spine-tingling drumwork, describing falling in love in apocalyptically celestial metaphors of light and darkness. …

How many times have you listened to number one? (Kate Bush)
1,812 (at least on this music library; if we include all my previous iTunes libraries, the numbers would be MUCH higher!)
Is this your favorite band?
What got you into number one?
First it began with finding “Wuthering Heights.” It was my favorite book at the time, so I was very interested to hear a song about it. I hated the song at first, then hearing her all the time on Flashback Alternatives got me more used to hearing her voice.
Why the hell have you listened to that so much?
Because I love the way she uses her very distinctive voice. There is no one else who sounds like Kate.
Favorite songs of number one:
“Wow,” “Cloudbusting,” “The Red Shoes…

Pia 9 VIII – Coke Live Music Festival 2013
15 kawałków, półtorej godziny uczty muzycznej, wariacje na scenie, mnóstwo brokatu, tańców i dzikiej ekstazy, wzruszenie, gęsią skórkę, łzy, przyspieszony oddech i niezapomniane wrażenia - tha't what Florence gave us.
21 Abr 2012, 15:38 de Pedro_H3nriqueAnd for a general surprise, Florence + the Machine are back with a new live album: MTV Unplugged - A Live Album. I would never expect a new album so soon.
Only For A Night is a brilliant song, and it was very well performed at MTV Unplugged. A think this was the best song choice to open their show.Drumming Song was very well performed. The song was less intense compared with album's version, but her vocals was pretty amazing.s pretty amazing.Cosmic Love was very interesting, though I think it wasn't her best performance with the song.Breaking Down was really well performed, and this version could a single. I think it was very effective and her voice shows the purpouse of the song.Their current single, Never Let Me Go, is an amazing song and its performance was very nice. The first song they covered in this live album was Try a Little Tenderness and it was pretty good. I loved its arrangement. No Light, No Light was a nice performance. Florence's voice was so good in this song. …
11 Sep 2011, 22:55 de michielVmusicPixie Lott – All About Tonight (6-9-2011, UK)
Pixie Lott broke through in 2009 when her first single 'Mama Do' hit the first spot of the British charts. Since that moment she scored five other consecutive top 20 hits. And I guess her new single, ‘All About Tonight’ will make that six and probably will end up on the first spot (edit: I wrote that before she actually reached the first spot). The song has got ‘hit’ written all over it. It’s a contemporary pop/dance song with cheeky lyrics about going out to a party and forgetting her ex-boyfriend (‘Grab someone if you’re single, grab someone if you’re not, it’s all about tonight’). Pixie is definitely following the trend with this instead of setting it, but I’ll forgive her that. It’s not as good as ‘Mama Do’ or ‘Cry Me Out’, but ‘All About Tonight’ is an enjoyable piece of pop with a catchy chorus and perfectly suitable when preparing for a night out. It will probably do well in the UK and it may even be her second Europe-wide hit single.
5 Jul 2011, 21:46 de kiwicrushNot really a discovery post. Just a list of songs I've been replaying this summer.
Cosmic Love by Florence + Machine - I love Florence's voice. It's so magical and heavenly.
Beat the Devil's Tattoo by Black Motorcycle Club - Sad, haunting, and beautiful.
Young Blood by The Naked and Famous - It reminds me of a happy, celebratory summer day.
In for the Kill by La Roux - Great dance track.
Changing by Airborne Toxic Event - I like the story in this song. As always, ATE makes great sounds.
The Cave by Mumford & Sons - I have a fondness for songs about self-discovery and independence.
Believe by The Bravery - I've loved this song for a while, because it never gets old.
Strip Me by Natasha Bedingfield - She always has something powerful and honest to say in her songs.
Undisclosed Desires by Muse - I like the haunting sounds in this track, like many of Muse's songs.
Heartless by the Fray - This will always be my favorite rendition of Kanye West's "Heartless," but Dia Frampton did a good job too.
