I feel like their second album isn't as great as their first one, as it seems like a lot of their songs were written around their TV show rather than having their TV show revolve around their songs. I really wish that they stuck to their acoustic folkish sound, but I still dig the use of weird instruments like Stylophones and Omnichords. Either way, Flight of the Conchords is amazing.

I just did some thoughts around the new album. I really love the new material, all really good songs, good parodies on many kind of pop-sub genres. But.. unlike the first album i think alot of the "folk" is gone, the first album had acoustic guitars on almost all tracks. But now on "I told you i was freaky" the acoustic guitars are much gone. And the production is a bit dry, but the songs and lyrics in themselves i think are very good. They only miss the old Conchords arrangments and production.

I loooooved when Jemaine was talking about switching "booties" to "boobies" in "I like rock the party" because booties remind him of babies shoes. travisishigh, you suck. It's just as good as the first, and their stuff from before they were on that show. The only differences are that they are more popular now, and they had to write those songs for the show, instead of using material they toured with before they had the show on HBO
