@iamholgerczukay I disagree... These guys were excellent, highly proficient players. They were punk rock in their sense of adventure and energy, but not in their musicianship

narrow_mind, count me in as another member of a regressive death metal band called Faust. Nothing can stand in our way, even other well established bands with the same name.

1971-1974/5 - classic Faust and an astounding phase that many bands would be happy to have even hinted at. Reformed Faust (yes, both versions) - not so good; but still with some moments of greatness.

"Please fuck off from this shoutbox with that RAC bullshit" <--- Quote... The Beauty of Faust compositions can not be muddy from your anti-aesthetic and miserable grunts... And please, consider that I'm not a Communist... I'm not here to play such a puerile game...

Also.....get hold of 'Kraftwerk 1' as well as the first two NEU! albums. Maybe try out 'Ultrasonic Seraphim' by Sand, and Clusters first three albums. Those are all good places to start with bands that have a similar sound to Faust. Then maybe you could check out the Residents (early is amazing....after '81 is poor), Nurse With Wound, Captain Beefheart....and the list could go on. Welcome to the real reason why music exists.

@NightVermillion: Basically most of Krautrock. Just explore it. In particular, Can and Amon Duul II are some of the better places to start.

This music is terribly weird. And I love it just like that. Anyone knows any other "weird" music from the 30's - 80's? Faust made me wonder.
