Entwine es una de las bandas finlandesas de metal mas progresivas de la última decada.Se formo en Marzo de 1995 como una banda de death metal pero gradualmente cambiaron su estilo a un sonido mas melódico aunque conservando la parte emocional.

Al principio Entwine constaba de tres miembros:Aksu Hanttu(batería), Tom Mikkola (guitarra/vocales) y Teppo Taipale (bajo), pero se dieron cuenta de que necesitaban un mejor vocalista y también un tecladista para así poder hacer la música que ellos realmente querian.

Después de algunos cambios en al alineación, Entwine constó de 6 miembros:Hanttu, Mikkola, Riitta Heikkonen (teclados), Mika Tauriainen (vocales), Joni Miettinen (bajo) y Jaani Kähkönen (guitarra). Con esta alineación han sacado sus últimos tres albums, el último fue Fatal Design en el 2006.

Por motivos personales Riita dejó la banda en Noviembre del 2006, la cual no ha sido sustituida por el momento.
