The artwork on the sleeve fascinates me to this day, as does the music within. [2] wonderful stuuuuuff - as Jeff Lynne might say...

my mom used to play this album all the time when I was a little kid. I have so many memories attached to the cover and to this song in general :)

This one I have in vinyl, oh, well, I mean it's my mother's vinyl, but it's ok it's also mine. The art of this it's the best I've ever seen! I say it for sure, is so beautiful, stunning, marvelous!

Oh what these young'uns have missed by not having all the beautiful artwork on the vinyl album sleeve! One of Bernie and Elton's best collaborations.

I agree with many of you. I, too, got this when it came out. This song has always been one of his best, always overlooked. Awesome lyrics!

I also got this right when it came out. None of you youngins would believe the amount of material that came with it. Beautiful fold-out artwork (very reminiscent of Bosch, with sexy/scary, nude bird-human mutants), a magazine-sized lyric book, and a scrapbook of photos documenting EJ's and Taupin's career together -- an awesome package even by standards then. This song in particular should be better known. "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" got all the glory back then.

I too went out and purchased Caption Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy as soon as it hit the stores. In those days, kids, you had to go to a store to buy any record albums or tapes. ;-) This was probably my favorite Elton John album, but I liked them all except maybe some of his later stuff. This track was my favorite from this album, but it was rarely played on the radio. Elton John was certainly at the top of the pop/rock music world in those days.

What a great song from a fantastic album! I bought the album when it was hot off the presses in 1975. I believe this was the first album to go straight to #1 on the charts the very day it was released. The album package came with two full color booklets, a poster and the album itself, of course.

There's catchy, and then there's catchy, and then there's this song.
