Desde Athens, Georgia, Elf Power son una banda del colectivo Elephant 6. Su sonido se le puede catalogar como algo entre «Apples in Stereo» y las tendencias lo-fi (baja fidelidad) de «Neutral Milk Hotel» o «The Olivia Tremor Control». Formados en 1993, Elf Power lanzo su LP (larga duración), debut «Vainly Clutching at Phantoms Limbs» en 1995. Elf Power esta conformada por Andrew Rieger (guitarrista/vocalista), Laura Carter (tecladista/vocalista), Jimmy Hughes (guitarrista), Derek Almstead (bajista), Eric Harris, Heather McIntosh (chelista), y Josh Lott (baterista).
Su disco mas valorado por la critica es «A Dream in Sound » publicado el 1999.
