Aw, damn! A shame about their bassist...All my condolences to those close to him. ...Maybe i'll be able to hear Rita sing in another band sometime.

Well with Yuuze's death a reunion isn't likely.

Same. If they do, by some miracle, come back, I wouldn't be surprised if they become a part of Art Cube's label. They seemed to share the same type of fan base and toured together, so it would make sense.

Damn, that's a shame, though hardly surprising. I'll miss Rita's voice to death..

Yuuze's too busy having sex with Cecir to get music made

He should just join a new band, maybe Yuuze can join in once he awakens from his 100-year long sleep/repairs his phylactery.

maybe were all just a figment of cecirs demented imagination soon he will realise what he has done and end it all and we will fade into oblivion forever

From the looks of it: probably not. The only person who updates their blog is Cecir and he likes to recycle old pictures (I'm on to him). Although he writes how badly he wants to get back in the studio, no one else really seems to share that desire.

I agree Sherow might have been better for them. Thinking on it more, perhaps if they had just released a full album from the get go instead of singles with very little content overall. I know Visual Kei fans are use to having a single churned out every week, so they're already losing the people that have short attention spans. Yet, I think the massive time span between some of the singles really worked against them. It was great that they where really working on producing quality music but it might have been better to work on releasing a full album instead.

I honestly had an E'm~conspiracy~ theory with some of the UCP fan community that more or less ended with the idea that they could have done just as well, if not much better, if signed to Sherow Artist Society. I mean, Yuuze and Cecir both worked with Juka on that label, so it's not like they would have had much networking issues to get signed there and some of their music does sound a bit similar to Juka's solo work here and there, making them fit with the label's motif. I honestly think they would have been on that label had it not completely died off in 2008~9 once everything signed to it "graduated" or disbanded. I'm not saying that being on UCP was an awful choice, but how much did Kisaki really do for them other than play bass in 2 of their songs (which Yuuze was perfectly capable of doing himself)? Maybe in a different reality. If they were on Midi:Nette they'd have to be called E'm†Grievance† or something, just so Mana could have a say.

Anyway, I originally came here to ask but am I the only one that thinks Em grief would have been more successful if they where on Midi:Nette instead of UCP? I know that the VK and Goth cultures overlap but if they where with Midi:Nette and marketed towards a more Gawffy audience I could imagine them gaining a pretty strong and loyal fanbase. That association with Mana and his ties to Goth culture could have been pretty beneficial for them. This is clearly from a Western perspective, not sure if that would have helped them out at all in Japan.

It's not that hard to imagine Yuuze with a ponytail, just go back in time and look at this old photo of him with big fluffy pig tails or you can just watch this PV for ponytail goodness.
