It's autotuned because John wrote the song, and when they wanted to record the song, James had no idea what notes John wanted him to sing, so John made this demo and used autotune so James knew what the notes were. I don't know why you're making such a big deal of it, The_Forgotton.

Not really... it was obviously recorded as a scratch vocal for LaBrie's benefit, and never intended for release. And it wouldn't exactly be a demo if Petrucci rerecorded his vocals, eh?
