Dokken fue una de las bandas norteamericanas de Hard Rock más exitosas de la década de los 80’s, que combinando la voz característica de Don Dokken y la energética y virtuosa guitarra de George Lynch, supieron crear canciones con intensos riffs como «Kiss Of Death» y «Power», baladas como “Alone Again”, que convirtieron a los discos del grupo en los más vendidos del estilo. Lps como el «Tooth and Nail» y «Under Lock and Key» aún son considerados clásicos y aparecieron en el momento preciso; el auge del Heavy era enorme y sus primeros videos promocionales contaron con todo el apoyo de MTV.
En 1987, fueron encargados para crear el tema principal asi como un videoclip para la pelicula «Pesadilla en Elm Street: dream warriors», la tercera parte de esta exitosa saga de terror adolescente creada en 1984 por el maestro del suspense Wes Craven.
