I haven't really (or ever) seen a band being described as "satan metal" or "satan rock"...Not to mention the billions of other faiths around (buddhist metal anyone?). Regardless, just take it as their expression, ideology or whatever. The music's still great.

Aravis17 - Well said. For people who take their faith seriously not only the genres but also the contents play a role in their choice of music. And naturally if I find that among the bands in a genre I like there are also Christian bands I will be drawn to them, rather than to those that have lyrics that are incompatible with Christian beliefs or ethics.

Listening to Heal Me now. I really wish they did more big, proggy epics like this and the Spirit, which I think are their best songs.

Really hate the fact that metal and satan is almost a synonym [2]

Into A New Dimension is one of my favorite albums too. Maybe I'm the only one who was a bit disappointed by Eye of the Storm? It was ok, but other than To Love and Forgive and the two remakes of older songs, none of it was very memorable for me. And the lyrics - never the band's strongest point to begin with - were definitely not their best. Maybe it will grow on me though.

To quote the comment below: "i hate the people who tagg bands as christian metal -_- it sounds like their better than all the rest ... thats not true but still this is good music." I'd like to say that tagging this as "christian metal" is not saying that it's "better," it's simply describing the lyrical content. Get a grip. I'd like to know if a metal band I'm about to listen to has satanist lyrics, because I don't want to listen to that. Ergo, why "satanist" is also a descriptor for a genre. It's a nice heads-up to listeners without us having to go look up lyrics every time.
