jesus I can't get over how amazing this is [2] @psychedali: it's anyone's guess, really, but being that this song is for Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr. aka Jay Reatard, and the fact that he died abruptly at the young age of 29 (RIP), might be a contributing factor to the sudden, abrupt ending as a symbol of sorts. Who knows. Regardless, it's absolutely breathtaking.

Already one of my most favorite songs ever. The "where have my friends gone" part floors me every time.

I got the digital download with the vinyl and it ends abruptly. Really beautiful song but it just gets ruined with the abrupt ending which I can't imagine was the band's intention.

This becomes to much more intense with repeated listens. Definitely the song that made me a believer in the whole album. The last part of the song at around five minutes nearly makes me cry.

It ends abruptly in the digital download that came with the CD/Vinyl order. Will see if CD is different (which I suppose)
