Dawn of Ashes surge en el año de 2001 por: Khris Bathory:, el cerebro detrás de los sonidos y las visiones de horror, el odio, y el sufrimiento. El nombre fue creado para reflexionar sobre el nacimiento de la muerte y el fracaso. En 2005, DOA independiente, lanzaron su primer demo titulado «Sacred Faver». Esta realización cautivó los ojos y los oídos del sello alemán conocido como NoiTekk. Poco después se les pidió que firmaran y se convirtieron en miembros de la etiqueta. A los pocos meses, la etiqueta norteamericana conocida como COP International, así como de sello ruso, Gravitor, dan aviso a DOA y les piden que se unan a ellos también. En septiembre de 2006, su álbum debut titulado «In The Acts of Violence» se da a conocer en todo el mundo. La brutalidad del álbum debut cautivó a los oscuros corazones y las mentes de muchos. seducieron a una importante cantidad de fans que luego les llevaron al éxito. En octubre de 2007, lanzaron su segundo álbum de larga duración titulado, «The Crypt Injection». En el álbum se representa mucho del crecimiento y transformación de su sonido oscuro y de fondo. Junto con el álbum, también DOA creado un vídeo musical de su canción «Torture Device», Que establecen como un adelanto del álbum «The Crypt Injection», donde se reunieron más aficionados a ésta banda, más publicidad y más atención por parte de las masas. Desde que se formó DOA, que han hecho mucha transición en line-ups, y sonido. Una vez más, el grupo ha hecho en la adición de otro miembro y colocar el elemento de guitarras en la música.

personally I cant wait for new material. at the begining i was very scepitcal - now i think those guys will serve us a good portion of great music. Although I knew they'll play metal-like music i was disapointed when i heard their new stuff for first time. Now i like it even more than their primitive dark electro. I'm not surprise, good bands don't last forever, in the end they end up splitting up or selling out. As for the new songs those are really terrible sound like deathcore with the exception of "Carnal Consummation of empty space" a decent song.

The band always looks at what benefits their career and what direction is going to further their career. The Industrial scene isn't doing much for them and the record labels only provide minimum support for their bands. Thousands and thousands of fans contact Dawn of Ashes daily asking about future tours. Well, if there is no financial support than there is no tour. They are tired of making dance music and feel they have way more talent on the table to show their fans. One factor that the band always needs is brutality and Metal has always been more brutal than electronic music. Industrial concerts are tame compared to Metal events. Basically, there is more to offer for Dawn of Ashes with this new direction instead of hoping that the Industrial scene would get bigger.
