Well I joined in with this live Mondays game so I may as well do it properly now. So I am dropping this journal and will try to update it every Monday. Hopefully I can keep it going. I wasn't sure if I'd listen to much this week and I ended up scrobbling 5 albums so it has started pretty well.
I will also try to keep each week within a general theme. This week began with Slayer because I've been on a thrash kick lately and you don't get much more thrash than Slayer. I then went a bit punk, thrash was influenced by punk and in truth I always thought that Danzig and Misfits straddle the two genres anyway.
1.) Slayer - Decade Of Aggression
2.) Misfits - Evilive
3.) Danzig - Thrall-Demonsweatlive
4.) The Damned - The Captain's Birthday Party
5.) NOFX - I Heard They Suck Live!
Live album of the week: Has to be Slayer - Decade of Aggression.
Bring on next Monday!

Na prvo slušanje mi nije sjeo, u pravilu ne volim instrumentale s kojim album započinje, a ni „California (Hustle and Flow)“ ni „Can't take it with you“ mi se nisu svidjele s tim ženskim wooooo-hooooo yeah baby back-vokalima, prije me podsjetilo na Stonese i Black Crowes nego na Socku pa sam ih često preskakao, ali ostatak albuma je ujednačeno dobar, s osobnim favoritima „Far side of nowhere“ i „Diamond in the rough“. Rock'n'roll i country s punk rubovima, s klasičnim pričama i ispovijedima koje obično imaju po albumima. …

I've been listening to a lot of diverse last.fm user's radios. Today while listening to Temujin1234’s Library Radio (a complete stranger, btw) I hit my 20,000th unique artist: Bonecrusher.
Well, naturally, I had never heard of this band before. I was surprised to find they were from the mid 1990s because they sounded, to me, like a late seventies or early eighties macho-type punk band along the lines of D.O.A. - kind of growly, angry, anthem-like. Actually they sort of sound like a D.O.A. tribute band.
For the past several months I've been getting a kick out of listening to a different last.fm user's library radio every day. This has drastically increased my total number of artists. Before now I had been pretty heavily concentrated in my favorite couple of genres.
