Yes...it's October already, packed month, tons of events involving Artificial Intelligence, Tayo, DJ Lee, London Elektricity, Tes La Rok, Benga, Dillinja, Krazy Baldhead, Beat Assassins, Fort Knox Five (to list just the ones I'm 100% interested in). We (Dubstep.ro, Yazee, Fabrica) are also proud to be part of the autumn's welcome comitee preparing a "first" for Romania on 24th of October, this coming after, what I consider a big success, the party on 19th of September,
Can You DUBstep? with
boc (Forecast, Bassism - Hungary) headlining. Big thanks to everyone who was there, it was a hell of a show. This keeps us going and I'm telling you, there's much more where that came from.
The next event is a milestone for us and to get personal, the headliner is one of my favourite artists since I started listening to bass music a couple of years ago. I hope this project, the main ideea of this event and of course last but not least, the music will get to you folks as much as it got to me. On one hand
Can You SUBstep? is gonna be a first for Bucharest from 2 points of view (which I'll let you figure out yourselves next week when we get the full line-up on the site), on the other hand it's gonna work as a time machine for the people rooted in this scene for some years now, because the supporting line-up, I promise, won't be a common one. 24th of October people. SWIVEL!
Concerning the tune list for this month, the last 4-5 weeks were a total mess for me from every single point of view, so I found myself in the position of not having the time even to listen to new music. This month's 20 is going to be a bit of a challenge for me. A mixture of tunes I managed to check out after-all, tunes I recieved via the Sub.FM Dubs competition, where by the way I'm proud to be part of the selected DJs on the forward list, tunes I heard in mixes / radio shows and tunes I knew for a long time.
