@bozfly That is your Opinion and I can respect that . Myself ,I think unreadable comunication or Clipped trumps The Trick is to Keep Breathing But what I said before still stands It`s my opinion ,it`s not meant to piss anyone off ,It`s Just an opinion. I like Your mentioned song ,Just not as much as the songs I just mentioned ,Also Question.Have you ever heard Test ? It was on a British Various artist CD sampler set called Volume . It is so unlike almost everything that Curve had done to date ! And the beats were off the hook! Peace : )

@OLdSKuul62: Queer was a popular song. Man, way to misinterpret what I said completely, and then write me a novel about it. If I believed that "popular = better" I wouldn't have found most of the music that I love today. I LIKE Curve, Fait Accompli, Superblaster, Lillies Dying, Gift, Want More Need Less, Hell Above Water are some of my favourites by them. I just think Garbage have more standout songs. Queer was probably a bit subjective. The Trick Is To Keep Breathing alone definitely trumps the best of what Curve had to offer.

AND NO I`M NOT QUITE FINISHED RANTING !!! @ bozfly I Personally think that Queer is the Dumbest song that Garbage EVER recorded! And I do agree with daydream_set Charts Mean Nothing to Fans Of Bands .Charts are for Bean counters ,IF you loved Chevy`s for example, If the charts say Kia is #1 ,would you run out and by a KIA,and sell your 454 SS Chevelle ? Most People that add to the POPULAR LIst Are Cluless about music in general .And have no idea how many songs an artist has recorded , or even a ball park figure. And they also fall for the 2 min song with the hook ...If It`s not catchy it`s not ranked high on the charts..Thats been true since the birth of the industry

@daydream_set Only half?@ Other people, Besides as a fan of BOTH bands I Like Garbage , I LOVE Curve , sutle difference ,Only By My or Your Opinions ,What Matters is Both bands are very good Who Came first Don`t Mean Crap to me Otherwise I Would be Listening to Minstrel Music Since that is the BIRTH PLACE of EVERYTHING that we all Listen to..With the exception of Classical Or African Drum Beats !,( Minstrel turns into Jazz ,Jazz Branches into BLUES and Gospel ,Rock and roll is the child of Blues And Gospel ,Country is the child of Blues and Gospel)And everything else Including Shoe gaze comes after Stuff like Rock`n`Roll,Motown,Funk,Acid Jazz,Disco for gods sake!,Hard Rock,And On,and On and On ,etc.,etc. No Band Is really better to another If A Person has made thier mind up! Reguardless of talent in the Band ! Ilove Bands that have a Lot More talent than this one ,But they don`t have the SOUND that I Love so much .Nor do they Have one of the most Angelic voices in the Industry

@Bozfly: 1) MBV formed before Curve and, despite the shoegaze label, they don't sound all that similar. 2) Over half of the Cuckoo album is better than "Queer". 3) Who cares about how big of a hit a song is? People who are focused on hit songs are clearly not fans of music. 4) The Curve/Garbage similarities are obvious; I don't understand why it makes being a fan of both bands difficult. 5) Nice avatar!

Ha! I never even said that. I was subtly hinting that Garbage were a successful band, actually cos I know it stirs y'all up. Seriously, if you took a look at Garbage's shoutbox, you wouldn't find people whining about Curve, that's what fascinates me about hardcore Curve fans is that they can't stop talking about Garbage!! It makes it hard being a fan of both bands!! Why not hassle bands that actually sound more like Curve than Garbage like Snake River Conspiracy, or My Bloody Valentine or other shoegazy/industrial bands...

Very mature of you, Namey. Both Garbage and Curve are really good, Curve obviously has a more shoegaze-ish sound, whereas Garbage is more of a commercial band. Fact is, first two Garbage albums sound a lot like Curve, and for me it will always be Garbage > Curve, but everyone has its opinion and we should respect that ;)

When Curve write a song as good as Queer (not to mention as bigger hit) then you can all complain about Garbage.
