she sounds nothing like Tori Amos--I am a giant Tori Amos nut, and she doesn't sounds like Tori. Charlotte, Tori and Kate are my musical Holy Trinity.

Every time Charlotte sings, it's good to be alive. Maybe Charlotte just sounds like Charlotte. You can't change your voice, and hers is wonderful.

TBH during the bridge--having been distracted through the previous parts of the song--i did think it was a tori song i hadn't heard before. but that's not a bad thing.

So if you are female and play piano you are a Tori wannabe. Whatever. I think there is room for both of them.

How dare you people imply that Charlotte's Tori Amos 2.0 or Kate Bush 2.0? She's just Charlotte. Leave it at that.

I don't think anyone is saying she sounds like Tori, they are saying she's TRYING to sound like Tori, which is 100% true. With a little Kate Bush mixed in.

I think Charlotte has a voice of her own but the arrangements definitely sound like Tori's maybe looking at the producers/people involved we could find something else

It's funny that so many people think she sounds like Tori...Don't get me wrong Charlotte is a beautiful and amazing artist, but being the Tori freak I am...I don't think her voice sounds like Tori. Maybe the multiple verses at once and the piano make people feel that way. They both are wonderful!

I could have sworn this was Tori Amos when I first heard it before looking at the artist. I like it anyway but the similarities to Tori and Kate Bush are striking.

The entire time watching that video I was expecting Donald Sutherland to pop out from underneath the taxi or something. Strong Kate Bush and Tori Amos undertones, not that that's a bad thing at all.

Yep, music2myears: I'd say the Kate influence is even stronger than the Tori influence in this case (and anyone who doubts me on this might want to go listen to the "every time it rains" line in "Cloudbusting" again). I can't say she stands alone, but I will say I've never regretted buying her albums.
