Caedmond´s Call fue formado en 1993 con seis integrantes (tres aún siguen en la agrupación), Ciff Young, (quién es padre e hijo, ambos les llaman Ed y son pastores exitosos en su ministerio de grandes iglesias), Danielle Glenn, Todd Braggs, Cari Harris, Joshua Phillips, Doug Elmore y Aron Tate. Tate nunca salió de gira con la agrupación pero es parte importante en la composición de las letras de las canciones de Caedmon´s Call. Derek Webb también se unió en 1994 a la banda sin conocer a los integrantes ellos se conocieron tocando en un concierto en Julio de 1994 por primera vez. La banda grabó su primer albun «My Calm / Your Storm» que se grabó originalmente en Cassette como una grabación de demostración. Este fue re-editado y volvió reproducirse 2 veces con 2 portadas diferentes. En 1996 la banda firmó un contrato de grabación con un sello no lucrativo de una iglesia quienes tenían un sello discográfico en conjunto con una disquera mayor, produciendo su primera grabación profesional y debutando como una banda mayor. Randy Holsapple recientemente se unió a la banda, durante este tiempo Kirby Trapolino a trabajado como Manager de la agrupación.

Esta banda tiene como principal motivo la adoración y el mensaje positivo con su sonido fresco.

Hey, guys, can anyone name some bands with the same music style as Caedmon's Call or Jars of Clay, but with texts not on the Christian or Jesus thematic? Problem is that I'm not a religious man, but I really liked music of this two bands! They'r so light and easy to listen, I can say they play kind music.

Possibly one of the most approachable but deepest bands ever, despite their association with the rest of Christian music. Still rocking and going strong. Catch them live, they are awesome.
