Regarding: "It's funny to see that those people, who call themselves "advocates of tolerance", are flooding this shoutbox." You're actually saying that people must be tolerant of intolerance? Is that truly what you're saying? Because if it is, then 1.) You're a fucking imbecile, and 2.) read up on the Paradox of tolerance, you ignorant shitstains.

Buju will always be one of my favorite artist. My favorite Buju is UNTOLD STOREIS > "I'm a living while I'm living to the father I will pray, only him know how we get through everyday. With all the hike in the price arm and leg we havi pay....While our leaders play".

You all post on here either defending or criticizing this musical ARTIST as if he or anyone else gives a flying fuck. I honestly see no point in arguing either way. What is going to happen is going to happen and you have no significant power in it, or any at all. He is not some kind of ideologist or preacher or anything but someone who made music with lyrics relevant to him and his personal views of the world. How you decide to interpret them is YOUR right to do, and nobody can take that away or even think about criticizing/discounting you for how YOU feel about his MUSIC or him as a human being. And if they do, they have some insecurity issues, just looking for someone to give them some self satisfying confirmation of significance by just paying attention to them. Like we always say: DON'T FEED THE TROLLS

His albums Til Shiloh and Inna Heights are more reflective of his views than a song he wrote when he was 15 years old. I think people have a tendency to either overestimate the maturity of teenagers or underestimate the amount of violence in Jamaica, especially Kingston. It's not like the ads on tv.

I remember the song I'm assuming you're referencing. It was a big hit. I hated it then, hate it now. That was 20 years ago, and remains his only song with such horrible lyrics that I can think of. Actually in 1993 he came out with the song Murderer, which was trying to get the message out that killing is wrong... a total switch from previous lyrics. And in 1994 he switched his whole style up when he converted to Rastafarianism and embraced a more positive image to his lyrics.
