Comforting and calming. This feels like a respite after an especially dark and nervy pair of songs. It opens with something like organ music, and its backing vocals sound like a heavenly choir. The slide guitar noodling at the center of the song is perhaps the most immediately accessible and pleasant guitar playing on the album. There's an air of sweetness and innocence about this song that isn't present on the rest of the album. It's as if we're now ascending to heaven, floating up on the layered tracks of backing vocals, which take over all the melodic duties just as the song begins to fade away. And then it ends with a coda that sounds like an early workout for the soundscapes found on Ambient 4--On Land. Ah, but that coda seques into "Here Come the Warm Jets," revealing that this heaven isn't a place for eternal R&R. No, in Eno's heaven, we'll be blasting through space for all eternity, riding an epic wave of beautiful guitar fuzz.
