Hardcore for Hardcore... What The Fuck Else?
A question that I hear pretty often, but not nearly often enough, is “What the hell is The Rival Mob?” I have endeavored today, for you, to answer that question. I think the only way to truly describe The Rival Mob is by using a visualization technique I learned while meditating with the yogi’s in India. Now, picture five Ku Klux Klansmen. Are you picturing them? Good. Now picture all five of them on fire. Dying, in a fire. Pretty awesome right? Now imagine that there are five individuals that set these perpetrators of idiocy on fire... The Rival Mob, ladies and gentlemen.

Seriously though, The Rival Mob is a current hardcore band that assembles a barrage of hard riffs inspired by the greats, from Celtic Frost to Breakdown. A current hardcore band featuring none other than the prolific DFJ (and Brendan of XFilesX fame for those interested parties) and this can mean only one thing... they will never tour. But you, dear reader, only you can change it. All you have to do is know. Know The Rival Mob.

There are plenty of bands that deserve your attention in the current punk music landscape. So why does The Rival Mob stand out? Is it their commitment to public works and charity that makes them more than a band, but an institution? Is it their deep philosophical ethos that resonates deeply within each and every one of us, and will be written about in history books and hailed as genius for generations? Is it their unique brand of music that, while paying homage to the classics, forges forward boldly where no hardcore band has gone before? It is all this and more.
The Rival Mob is a band that is passionate about what it does, and that is play hardcore music. It’s made apparent by their actions both as a band and as individuals. Such devotion and dedication to upping the punx cannot be ignored, and I implore you, reader, become a listener of The Rival Mob. Give a small part of you over to The Mob... you won’t regret it.
