Don't hesitate to download all of their discography. Percy Jones and John Goodsall have stated in interviews that the record companies don't pay them a single penny of royalties for any of their work, claiming that they put the record company in debt. Some of the most amazing art-music.

I agree... No Phil seems to be boring, but Billy Cobham and Lenny White, both are more skilled than Phil.

Check out Masques & also 'The Missing Period". Two of my favourite albums from these maestros. Why no more bands as brilliant as Brand X. They took stuffy cliched jazz & made it exiting novel fun.

As long as Phil Collins ruled on the drums he made almost no money with music since he's singing boring mainsream things changed![2] I'm not fan of jazz but these jams are killer

Whenever I play with guys in a band, this is my touchstone. They're listening intently to each other, it's obvious.

True fusion. Orchestral compositions, with electrical arrangements played by exceptional line-ups. I'd long been using the studio albums "Moroccan Roll", "Is There Anything About?", "Masques" and "Unorthodox Behaviour" to prevent top-40 contamination. Always there remained one burning question to me: "Sounds great mixed down, but what about live?" Well, after picking up their "Livestock", my curiosity is satisfied. With chops that are to this day under recognized, and the subtlety to achieve transcendence past "mere" instrumental virtuosity, Brand X tracks deep, and true. btw - If I am not mistaken, "Brand X" was a name taken from the G.I.'s of the Vietnamese Conflict, to whom it meant a particular S.T.D.
