Yeah, it finally dawned on me that as Boris is crafting a new sound and moving away for strictly metal/drone, Southern Lord doesn't fit them at the moment. So, the switch to Sargent House makes complete sense. You think Southern Lord had a contract limiting releases per year? They seem to have released quite a bit per year with Southern Lord, but I guess not as much as that Boris flurry we were hit with last year.

Southern Lord put together nice vinyl packages and the stuff they reissued is obviously great, but they're pretty much fixed with heavy stuff... I can't see them ever putting out stuff like Attention Please or New Album. Plus Sargent House seemed more than happy to release 3 Boris albums in one year - they clearly love everything the band does. They did all the promotion and press stuff pretty efficiently and the records they put out look great too. I hope they stick with Sargent House - it kind of makes sense to release everything on one label if they can.
