En 1972, en la ciudad alemana de Ingolstadt, el guitarrista Hans Ziller fundó una agrupación titulada Cacumen con su hermano Karl, quien también tocaba la guitarra, entonces encontraron algunos otros músicos para formar juntos una banda. Los siguientes seis años hicieron pequeñas presentaciones, pero lograron una buena base de fanáticos en su ciudad. En 1978, el grupo consistía de Hans y Karl en guitarras, Horst Maier en guitarra (en 1983, el apellido de Horst sería cambiado a Maier-Thorn), Hans Hauptmann en el bajo y Hans Forstner en la batería. Luego se hicieron a los servicios del vocalista Claus Lessmann.

Dank denen ist das seit Mitte der 90iger ein durchaus gängiger Begriff (in den USA) für alles was in den 80iger Jahren Haarspray verwendet und etwas lauteren Rock gespielt hat.

I remember buying Fire Works on vinyl when it first came out. I'd went in to the record shop to look for something else, and 'Never Mind' was playing in the background. I went up to counter, asked who it was and bought it immediately...never regretted it once :)
