In 1970, I bought a bootleg double lp called Great White Wonder, which were recordings that Bob Dylan - allegedly - made with The Band at Big Pink in 1966 (or so) while he was recuperating from a nasty motorcycle accident. In any case, I was led to believe that the album The Basement Tapes was actually a cleaned up version of Great White Wonder. I bought this album, too, but GWW was stolen sometime in 1972. This is a far superior recording.
