First heard this album in 1988. Spent years trying to find the name, finally found it this week. Glory ride, Ancient warrior ,Born to lose and The shining made me feel like I was in high school again.

Listening to this for the first time. So unbelievably different from early Sabbath. A lot of bands largely retain their sounds even when switching genres -- really does not apply here. I shall try to enjoy it for what it is though.

"it sounds a lot like glam metal." Now that is utter crap. It does not sound like the old Sabbath, that much is true. It is more straightforward Hard Rock (and so is the production). Hard Rock and Glam are not the same thing (the clips were Glam though... and that sucked)!

This album is not as bad as some people want you to think. Yes, it does not sound a lot like Black Sabbath, more like Whitesnake (1987, Slip of the Tongue era), but I can't deny its catchiness and good riffs. Also, Tony is actually a pretty good vocalist.

Their worst album ("Seventh Star" is worse, but it's in fact Iommi's solo album). But the title track is good ;)

I love this album so much! I believe, it's one of the best Sabbath album and highly underrated. I love everything about this album. It's my favorite Sabbath album. Great riffs, great atmosphere, great keyboards, great vocals, and great music, overall.
