Big D and The Kids Table es una banda de la tercera oleada del ska formada en octubre de 1995 en Allston, Massachusetts cuando sus miembros conocieron en la universidad]. Su primer lanzamiento estaba en su propio sello «Fork in Hand Records», pero recientemente firmaron con springman Records y Side One Dummy. La banda se ha observado para los sus éticas terminantes infrecuentes del trabajo de DIY, por ejemplo la ingeniería, produciendo, y la liberación de sus propios álbumes, vídeos y la promoción del mismo por su propia cuenta.

En 2000 la banda edita un álbum de rap de Gangsta y lo distribuyó por medio de cassettes. En 2003 el álbum fue lanzado oficialmente en el CD a través For in Hand .

Han viajado en un promedio de 200 shows al año con apoyo de las banda tales como Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, Catch 22, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Dropkick Murphys, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mustard Plug, Rancid, Alexisonfire, and Anti-Flag y siendo una banda regular en el Warped Tour de Vans.
La banda también se ha realizado presentaciones en Summer of Ska Tour 2006 y el Ska is Dead tour.

Tambien han grabado temas con Melt Banana de Japon, Brain Failure de China, Drexel y Lounge.

A fines del invierno de 2007 la banda emprendio su primer gran tour qa la que nombran The Steady Riot tour. Han hecho varias variaciones del vídeo musical para su cover de «The Specials», Little Bitch.

I used to live not too far from South of the Border, and I never went there >.> They had friggin billboards for it hundreds of miles away. Hah. I know when they took that picture too because it was during a tour when they came near to where I lived and I couldn't go :'(
